Netflix Releases 'One Day'

Drama Republic series ‘One Day’, music supervised by Matt Biffa, is available to stream now on Netflix.

David Nicholls’ globally best-selling book ‘One Day’ was adapted for television by the multi-award-winning screenwriter Nicole Taylor.

“15th July 1988. Emma, played by Ambika Mod (This Is Going To Hurt) and Dexter, played by Leo Woodall (The White Lotus) meet for the first time on their last night at Edinburgh University. Tomorrow they must go their separate ways. What follows is one of the greatest literary love stories of all time.

Each episode takes place one year on from the last on the same date, the 15th July. We follow Emma and Dexter as they grow and change, move together and apart, and experience joy and heartbreak. The tragi-comic romantic drama for Netflix is a funny and honest look at the full scope of life and all the messiness, missed opportunities and coincidences that govern it. Will they find their way back to each other, or does the universe have other plans?”

Alongside Mod and Woodall, One Day also stars Essie Davis as Alison Mayhew (Babyteeth), Tim McInnerny as Stephen Mayhew (Call My Agent), Jonny Weldon as Ian (House of the Dragon), Amber Grappy as Tilly (The Baby), Eleanor Tomlinson as Sylvie (Poldark), Brendan Quinn as Callum (Soft Border Control), Billie Gadson as Jasmine (The Spanish Princess), Toby Stephens as Lionel Cope (Summer of Rockets) and Joely Richardson as Helen Cope (The Rook).
