'A Christmas Gift From Bob' Released in UK

“The enchantment present within A Christmas Gift from Bob is not that of fantasy; instead, it focuses on human magic – the kind that occurs when people look out for each other. If there is one message we can learn from James and Bob, it is that kindness, compassion and friendship can transform the world. This film is the perfect winter warmer, equal parts heart-warming and harrowing.” ★★★★ The Upcoming

Patrick Neil Doyle composed the original score for Studio Pictures’ feature film ‘A Christmas Gift From Bob’ directed by Charles Martin Smith. The film is released in the UK today, 6th November 2020, across multiple VOD services including Sky Store, Apple, Amazon, Google, and Virgin Media.

“Based on the international best-selling books and the ‘purrfect’ Christmas sequel to the international hit film ‘A Street Cat Named Bob’ – follow James and his best friend, Bob on their new journey together.  From the day James Bowen rescued a street cat abandoned in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation, they began a friendship that has transformed both their lives and touched millions around the world.   In ‘A Christmas Gift from Bob’, James looks back at the last Christmas he and Bob spent scraping a living on the streets and how Bob helped him through one of his toughest times – providing strength, friendship, and inspiration. Ultimately teaching each other about the true meaning of Christmas spirit along the way.”

“The music of A Christmas Gift from Bob is rooted in James and Bob’s loving friendship. They can’t live without each other and they always want to be together; it is when they are at their happiest, and I wrote every part of this varied score to reflect just this.”  – Patrick Neil Doyle

Chantelle Woodnutt was the score coordinator and Nick Taylor was the record and mix engineer.

The original motion picture soundtrack is released with Lakeshore Records.
