Jody K Jenkins
Jody Jenkins is a highly experienced, Emmy Award-nominated composer for film, TV and commercials.
He has composed music for many high-profile international advertising campaigns, including projects for British Gas, McDonalds, Ford, Samsung and the award-winning campaign for BMW’s C1 bike. He most recently composed the score for Quaker Oats-PepsiCo’s latest commercial ‘Moon’, featuring astronaut Buzz Aldrin, made by AMV BBDO and HLA.
In the world of feature films, Jody recently composed the score for ‘Tomorrow’ directed by Martha Pinson and executive produced by Martin Scorsese, and also scored the award-winning black comedy ‘Cockneys vs Zombies’.
Jody has worked on countless film scores in a variety of roles within the music department, and alongside his composing work he has become known as one of the leading programmers and percussionists working in film scoring today. In this capacity he has collaborated many times with Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli on films including ‘Everest’, ‘The Boxtrolls’, ‘V for Vendetta’ and ‘Atonement‘. He also worked alongside Harry Gregson-Williams on the score for Disney’s ‘Narnia- Prince Caspian’ and with Javier Navarrete on Warner Brothers’ ‘Wrath Of The Titans’.
As a composer for television, Jody has well-established relationships with several production companies with his work including the score to the BBC/ Tiger Aspect production ‘The Convent’. In the field of animation Jody provided a contemporary, electronic soundtrack for political animation ‘What Barry Says’, followed by more orchestral scores for Channel 4’s ‘Forest Clearing’ and Griffilms / S4C’s ‘Gelert’.
