Air-Edel’s Terry Davies will be conducting the Aurora Orchestra at the Southbank Centre on Monday 13th February.
Join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep dark wood in ‘The Gruffalo’, made even more magical when the Aurora Orchestra accompanies a screening of the film. The enchantment doesn’t stop there; in ‘Room on the Broom’, a kind witch invites assorted animals to join her on her broom, much to the frustration of her cat. The witch’s companions ultimately save her from a fearsome dragon, and in gratitude, she rewards them with a magnificent new broom, which has room for everyone.
The following evening, Air-Edel’s Dirk Brosse will be conducting a Valentine’s Day screening of David Lean’s classic account of a muted affair; ‘Brief Encounter’ with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Prior to the film there will be a performance of Rachmaninov’s second piano concerto Alexandra Dariescu.
