Lance Povlock
Lance Povlock is a Los Angeles–based music editor known for his refined creative instincts, technical precision, and deeply collaborative approach to storytelling through sound. His passion for music began early—sparked by a childhood introduction to Abbey Road by The Beatles—and evolved into a lifelong pursuit that bridges artistry and technology.

After playing guitar in bands throughout college, Lance discovered a fascination with the recording process that led him to study at the Institute of Audio Research in New York City. Following graduation, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he quickly immersed himself in the world of film and television, working alongside composers and honing his ability to shape music in service of narrative.
He went on to serve as Head of Music Technology at HUM Music in Santa Monica, where he supported composers both technically and creatively, further refining his expertise in music editorial and post-production workflows.
Lance’s recent credits include the MGM+ series Westies, the Netflix docuseries Hulk Hogan: Real American, and the Amazon Studios feature Holland. Across projects, he is recognized for his ability to translate creative vision into impactful musical storytelling, while building strong, trusted relationships with composers, music supervisors, showrunners, directors, and post-production teams.
