BAFTA Nominations

We are delighted to see so many films featuring the work of Air-Edel's creative talent have been nominated for BAFTAs.

‘Denial‘ starring Timothy Spall and Rachel Weisz has been nominated for ‘Outstanding British Film’. The film focuses on acclaimed writer and historian Deborah E. Lipstadt who battles for historical truth to prove the Holocaust actually occurred when David Irving, a renowned denier, sues her for libel. Maggie Rodford was the music supervisor for the production, assisted by Emily Appleton-Holley.

‘Florence Foster Jenkins‘ has received numerous nominations including ‘Leading Actress’ for the production’s star Meryl Streep and ‘Supporting Actor’ Hugh Grant, as well as a nomination for ‘Make Up and Hair’. Air-Edel’s Terry Davies was the onset Musical Director for the production. Meryl Streep plays a New York heiress who dreamed of becoming an opera singer, despite having a terrible singing voice.

‘Kubo and the Two Strings‘ tells the story of a young boy named Kubo who must locate a magical suit of armor worn by his late father in order to defeat a vengeful spirit from the past. The production has been nominated for ‘Animated Film’ with music composed by Air-Edel’s Oscar-winning Dario Marianelli and music supervised by Maggie Rodford assisted by Emily Appleton-Holley.
