After its release to great acclaim in Latin America, Air-Edel Records is excited to announce the worldwide release of the soundtrack for the Mexican animated film “Soy Frankelda”, composed by Kevin Smithers. Featuring both original songs and score, this diverse soundtrack ranges from cinematic orchestral pieces to emotional, moving vocal performances.

“Soy Frankelda” is the first stop-motion feature film produced in Mexico. Frankelda, a frustrated young Mexican writer from the 19th century, travels as a ghost to a realm of her own invention inhabited by “Sustos”—the monstrous characters she created for her horror stories. Her guide is Herneval, the Prince of the Sustos, who enlists her help in maintaining the balance between the Realm of Fiction and the Realm of Existence using her talent as a writer.
