Selected Credits
She was supervising music editor and score editor on ‘The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim’ (executive produced by Peter Jackson) and music editor on the box office hit musical ‘Wonka’ (directed by Paul King) for nearly a year and a half throughout all stages of post-production – which earned her an MPSE Golden Reel nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Music Editing – Feature Motion Picture.
Janet demonstrates a deep understanding of complex long-term workflows, and the ability to adapt to meet the artistic and technical demands of each production.
Her credits span a wide range of genres and musical styles, from drama (two Downton Abbey films featuring the acclaimed, multi-award-winning score by John Lunn), to spy, crime, and mystery thrillers such as Steven Soderbergh’s ‘Black Bag’ and Kenneth Branagh’s ‘Death on the Nile’ (with the Ivor Novello-nominated score by Patrick Doyle), to fantasy (‘A Boy Called Christmas’ with Dario Marianelli’s Music and Sound Award-nominated score), and animated features like ‘Ultraman: Rising’ and the ‘Super Giant Robot Brothers’ TV series by Academy Award-winning director Mark Andrews, among others.
Janet’s expertise in music production was further enhanced during her time at ECM Records as assistant to legendary producer and multiple Grammy® Award and DownBeat Critics Poll winner Manfred Eicher. Collaborations with award-winning recording engineers such as Tony Faulkner, Jonathan Allen, Simon Kiln, and re-recording mixer Howard Bargroff further enriched her skillset.
Her work in music production and spatial audio has led to invitations as a guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Music, and as a speaker at international industry events, including the International Conference on Spatial Audio and the Schoeps MikroForum.
A violinist and violist, Janet trained under former Berlin Philharmonic solo violist Wilfried Strehle at the Berlin University of the Arts, and has performed under some of the world’s most renowned conductors in some of the most celebrated concert halls worldwide.
