Homay Schmitz is a composer and producer who has written over 100 pieces of music for distinguished British sample library company Spitfire Audio. She has also scored over 20 trailers and teasers for Spitfire Audio and has been active on their YouTube channel, where she presents educational videos breaking down her works.
Homay’s most recent works include music for Apple and an arrangement featuring an orchestra of over 40 players recorded and filmed at Abbey Road Studios for the BBC 1 documentary “Krept and Konan: We Are England”. She composed the score for the short film “Mincemeat”, which aired in 2021 as part of the Channel 4 series “On the Edge”. She arranged strings for “Brace” by the artist Jordan Rakei, which included arranging a live version of the song with a string ensemble and band that was filmed at The Church Studios.
Homay also releases work as a solo artist, including the 2018 song “Speak Up”, which was re-released in 2021 as part of Jordan Rakei’s “Late Night Tales” compilation album.
