Nae Pasaran (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Air-Edel Records released Patrick Neil Doyle’s BAFTA Scotland winning historical feature documentary score for ‘Nae Pasaran‘ directed by Felipe Bustos Sierra.

‘Nae Pasaran’ tells the story ofthe Rolls-Royce factory workers in Scotland who refused to carry out vital repairs to the Hawker Hunter jet engines used by General Pinochet, and ultimately saved thousands of lives in Chile during the 1970s. It received its premiere as the closing film at the Glasgow Film Festival in March, and was released in cinemas on September 11th 2018.

While composing the music I was heavily influenced by the film’s extraordinary story, landscape and brave individuals. The documentary is filled with immense determination, loss, discovery, triumph, and sincerely touching moments that continually moved and inspired me. It was a joyful experience combining the folk tradition and instrumentation of both Chile and Scotland, along with an emotional symphonic approach, in order to produce a fitting musical accompaniment to this incredible feat of solidarity.
