Honey Bunch (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Andrea Boccadoro’s ethereal score features a mix of instrumental and vocal music. The soundtrack contains a multitude of different emotional forces, with eerily beautiful melodic piano lines woven throughout.
Honey Bunch was a labour of love and one of my most ambitious projects to date, marking my ten-year collaboration with directors Madeleine Sims-Fewer and Dusty Mancinelli.
The score blends a variety of genres, yet at its heart lies the dark but tender love story of Diana and Homer, brought vividly to life through wonderfully quirky performances by Grace Glowicki and Ben Petrie. Particularly notable are the contributions of Scottish flutist David Cuthbert – performing on alto, bass, and contrabass flute – and soprano Áine Smith, whose pure, otherworldly voice haunts the film throughout.
I am very proud to share this work with film-music audiences everywhere and look forward to the film’s US release on Shudder on 13 February. – Andrea Boccadoro
