Dr Jeni Hayne’s long road to justice is the core to the film. Alongside Jeni and her alters, her psychiatrist and the police detective who carried out the investigation are key characters, as is the surgeon who carried out life-saving surgery. These stories will be interwoven through the film.

Bringing Jeni’s internal landscape and the alters “to life” is an exciting creative opportunity. The new and rapidly emerging possibilities of AI give us an immensely powerful tool and, with Jeni’s guidance and great enthusiasm, we will use cutting edge VFX to truly bring her world to life. Jeni can describe the different looks, personalities and styles of the “frontrunners” who are central to her story . We are also drawing on Jeni’s cultural references of from the 70s and 80s and her love for Enid Blyton/Hardy Boys adventure stories, online fantasy games and pop songs of her childhood. The VFX will create a style to convey the right emotional tone and soften the blow of Jeni’s story.
