Jake Walker


Jake is the composer for the BAFTA winning feature Tommy Cooper ‘Not Like That Like This’ (Dir Ben Caron, Leftbank Films, ITV). He has recently completed the multi award-winning feature ‘The Challenge’ (Dir Peter Williams, Salon Pictures, Discovery) and The Guv’nor (Dir Paul Van Carter, Lionsgate). He has also recently completed the animation One Per Person (Trackback LA) and is the Composer for the BBC series Britain At The Bookies. Jake is the composer on films that have won an Indie Film Award, Impact Docs Award and Miff Award and has a feature in the Official Selection at the Canada Film Festival. He is also a double finalist in the Music And Sound Awards.

Jake’s recent Music Department Credits include Beauty And The Beast, Jason Bourne, The Man From Uncle, Heart Of The Sea, Shaun The Sheep and Chasing Satellites.

Jake is an award winning multi instrumentalist who studied at The Royal College Of Music. His first professional engagement was with The London Symphony Orchestra. He went on to perform with major international ensembles around the world including The Royal Opera House, The Royal Philharmonic and The Philharmonia Orchestras. Jake’s performances can be heard on numerous soundtracks including Florence Foster Jenkins, Youth, Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2, Les Miserables, Genius, Heart Of The Sea, Pan, Iron Man 2, Arthur, Batman Begins, Madagascar, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Shark Tale, Milk, and Paul. Jake has worked with recording artists including Van Morrison, Joe Pesci, Chandrika Tandon, Monserrat Caballe, Sam Smith, Rudimental, Take That, Leona Lewis, Lethal Bizzle, Brand New Heavies, Michael Ball, Il Divo and Westlife.

As a concert composer Jake was recently commissioned to compose a three movement work for the inaugural concert of the reconditioned Thaxted Lincoln Organ on which Gustav Holst composed The Planets Suite. He is currently completing a collection of twelve choral works.
