Patrick Neil Doyle

Patrick is a classically trained composer who has most recently composed the original score for King Bert Productions’ drama series ‘The Moonstone’ for BBC1.
In the world of feature film, Patrick’s former projects include writing additional music and lyrics for international feature films such as ‘Brave’ (Disney Pixar), ‘Sleuth’ (Castle Rock Entertainment), ‘La Ligne Droite’ (Gaumont), and documentary feature ‘Jig’, directed by Sue Bourne. In 2013 he composed the score for his first feature film, ‘The Legend of Longwood’, followed shortly afterwards by the feature ‘Kepler’s Dream’. In 2014, Patrick worked on all the musical elements on-set for Sir Kenneth Branagh’s Disney live-action feature ‘Cinderella’. In 2016, Patrick worked as music programmer on the remake of ‘Whisky Galore’ and on Amma Asante’s feature film ‘A United Kingdom’, starring Rosamund Pike, David Oyelowo, Tom Felton and Nicholas Lyndhurst.
Previous composition for theatre includes William Boyd’s sell out run of ‘Longing’ at the Hampstead Theatre, directed by Nina Raine, and the Edinburgh Fringe 2012 revival of the 1977 musical ‘Glasvegas’. Patrick also worked on the critically acclaimed Manchester International Festival production of ‘Macbeth’, directed by Branagh and Rob Ashford. More recently Patrick worked as music programmer for Branagh’s theatre season at the Garrick Theatre featuring star-studded casts including Dame Judi Dench, Richard Madden, Lily James and Zoe Wanamaker.
