Composer, Songwriter

Marcos is a Composer, Producer, Songwriter and Musician.

He started his career at 17 as an Actor and Musician before, in 1996 co-founding First British Independent, a state of the art production house and recording studio in London’s Notting Hill with composer Christian Henson. They joined Air-Edel and Marcos became immersed in the world of film composition through his highly acclaimed work within the UK Drum & Bass, Breakbeat and Pop scene; working with the likes of LTJ bukem, MC Conrad, The Freestylers, Scott Walker, Roy Ayers, Boyzone and Peter Andre. With First British Independent Marcos accumulated numerous credits including the landmark series Brain Story for the BBC, The National Lottery Show, Horizon BBC and ITV 2′s The Big Match Live. He also wrote production music and commercials music for Bodyform, Holiday Inn, Fosters and C4 Films to name a few. He composed his first full length musical with co-writer Peter Jukes  “Sanctuary” for the producer Adam Spiegel. He also developed and composed further musical projects produced by Adam Kenwright. Most recently, Marcos was the composer, arranger and musical director for BBC series ‘Almost Never’ for Salt Beef TV.

With his band Guarro, he has opened the Natural Music Festival in Almeria headlined by Guns ‘N’ Roses, and played The Azkena Rock Festival sharing the stage with Pearl Jam, Wolfmother and Iggy and the Stooges. Marcos also played solo at Harley Davidson’s 105th celebrations in Milwaukee, an event headlined by Bruce Springsteen and the Foo Fighters. Marcos is also a co-creator of “The Indy Music Awards” and co-founder of the ticket and music download platform “Kabodler” with Paul Clarke.

Marcos now works out of his writing suite and production facility in Hampshire, where he has worked on a variety of projects including a musical called “Mrs Gucci” with co-writer Peter Jukes. Marcos and Peter also gained the dramatisation rights for the modern classic Requiem por un campesino espanol, often called Ramon J. Sender’s greatest masterpiece. In 2012, Marcos developed, wrote and composed a concept album, “How Do You Fall In Love With Somebody You’ve Never Met?”, for the West End theatre star Julie Atherton with Paul Clarke at Wallops Wood Studios.
