Laura joined Air-Edel in 2012. She is currently music-supervising director Julien Temple’s film ‘My Life Story’, a film version of the one man show created by Suggs from Madness, as well as the Dominic Savage film ‘The Escape’ starring Gemma Arterton and Dominic Cooper.
She worked as assistant music supervisor on films including ‘Cinderella’ (Kenneth Branagh/ Walt Disney Pictures), ‘Everest’ (Baltasar Kormákur/ Working Title) and ‘The Boxtrolls’ (Laika/ Graham Annable & Anthony Stacchi). Her current role as a music supervisor and composer agent involves working closely with Air-Edel’s composers for film, TV, theatre, video games and commercials, along with source music licensing for a variety of projects. Recent music supervision work includes feature film ‘Tomorrow’, executive produced by Martin Scorsese, and the Christmas special of ‘Jonathan Creek’ broadcast on BBC1 in 2016.
Laura has a musical background; she won a choral scholarship to study music at King’s College London, graduating with First Class Honours, and took singing lessons at the Royal Academy of Music. She then went to Christ Church, Oxford where she took an MPhil in Musicology and wrote her research-based dissertation on music and developmental psychology. She has lived in the UK all her life apart from six months spent in Italy studying singing and Italian. She previously worked as an agent’s assistant at The Rights House talent agency, representing actors and TV presenters.
