Jesse Voccia is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer.  Born into a family of musicians, his formative years were spent playing guitar, piano and percussion. Upon moving to Los Angeles to pursue his music career, expanded his instrumental repertoire to include both conventional and exotic stringed instruments, keyboards and analog synthesis. Mr. Voccia would soon find work as a freelance musician, engineer and synthesizer programmer for top film composers like Danny Elfman, Trevor Rabin, Reinhold Heil and Johnny Klimek, Paul Haslinger, Lisa Gerrard and Ry Cooder.

Academy-nominated composer Thomas Newman brought Mr. Voccia on to work as his engineer and assistant on Finding Nemo, Cinderella Man, Angels in America and Lemony Snickets A Series of Unfortunate Events.  Mr. Voccia then worked with Aaron Zigman, (The Notebook), as an additional music composer, orchestrator and synthesizer programmer.  The relationship blossomed into a collaboration that has now spanned over more than 30 films, including Akeelah and the Bee, Sex and the City, The Proposal, My Sister's Keeper, The Ugly Truth, and the upcoming titles The Company Men (Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones) and The Last Song (Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear).   He has scored several features independently, including the action film Moving Too Fast, the gritty high school drama, Threefifteen, and the action thriller Ca$h starring Sean Bean.

Most recently, Jesse contributed music to Why Did I Get Married Too?, directed by Tyler Perry, Game of Death starring Wesley Snipes, and the documentary Splinters, about the evolution of indigenous surfing in the developing nation of Papua New Guinea, and how the sport provides a means for the people living in hermetic villages to see a wider world.

Jesse resides in Los Angeles.
