The 29th Galway Film Fleadh

We are very excited that ‘All the Wild Horses‘, ‘Spoor‘, and ‘Rocky Ros Muc‘ will be shown at the 29th Galway Film Flead.

29th Galway Film Fleadh presents a six-day programme featuring the best in new Irish and World Cinema.

‘All The Wild Horses’ directed by Ivo Marloh and produced by The Urban Ant will be shown on the penultimate day of the festival, 16th July at 6.15pm at Cinemobile.  Air-Edel’s Christopher Barnett composed the original score for the feature documentary, described as “terrific” in the Galway Advertiser.

All the Wild Horses’ documents the Mongol Derby horse race, the longest and toughest horse race in the world, and easily the most epic and dangerous, as it leads through 650 miles of Mongolian steppe, desert and mountain ranges.”

‘Spoor’, directed by three-time Oscar nominee Agnieszka Holland and produced by Studio Filmowe “Tor” will be shown at 5pm on the 12th July at Cinemobile. ‘Spoor’ received it’s world premiere in the main competition at the 67th Berlinale – Berlin International Film Festival in February where it was awarded the Silver Bear Alfred Bauer Prize award, an award given to films that “open new perspectives on cinematic art”. The production features an original score by Antoni Komasa Lazakiewicz which was recently released on Air-Edel Records.

“Janina Duszejko, an elderly woman, lives alone in the Klodzko Valley where a series of mysterious crimes are committed. Duszejko is convinced that she knows who or what is the murderer, but nobody believes her.”

Following this, feature documentary ‘Rocky Ros Muc‘ will be shown at 6pm on the 12th July at THT. Andrew Simon McAllister composed a classic 80s style synth soundtrack for the documentary which was released in May on Air-Edel Records.

‘Sean Mannion rises from humble beginnings, to challenge for a world title crown.  From the quiet Gaeltacht village of Ros Muc in Co Galway, to the criminal underworld of James ‘Whitey’ Bulger and the mean streets of Boston, Rocky Ros Muc examines spirit inside the ring and troubles outside; the reality of emigration and its impact on identity.”
