Andrea Boccadoro Joins Air-Edel

We are thrilled to announce award-winning composer for film, theatre and visual media Andrea Boccadoro has joined the Air-Edel roster.

In the last year Andrea has been commissioned by film production companies and clients internationally, working on projects supported by Creative Europe such as ‘Astrologaster’ (Nyamyam), Inflo Film/BravoFact‘s ‘The Big Crunch’, and Film London/Flamin ‘Ophelia 2.0’. His recent work includes a role as producer for the recording of Vito Palumbo’s Violin Concerto, recorded at Abbey Road Studio 1 with the London Symphony Orchestra, as well as composing for the upcoming feature film ‘Speaking in Tongues’ directed by Nathan Deming.

In 2016 Andrea was awarded a place as a Music Creative in the Hospital Club Emerging Creatives Programme, starting a one year residency with a grant to produce the score for ‘The Big Crunch’, directed by Dusty Mancinelli (Slamdance Grand Jury Prize Winner in 2016). In the same year Andrea was nominated for a Jerry Goldsmith Award for ‘Best Original Score for a Feature Film’, with his score for the European Western ‘The Porter Brothers’, directed by Wilhelm Kuhn. In 2015, Andrea won a Jerry Goldsmith Award for his chamber piece ‘Song For Adele’. In 2013 he was awarded the 2nd prize in the Lviv Music Composition Contest for the choral composition ‘Ave Maria’, which was premiered by the Galician Chamber Choir.

Andrea’s work has been screened at the Barbican Centre, the National Art Gallery, the BFI and the V&A Museum, and at festivals such as TIFF, Clermont-Ferrand, BFI Flare, Fantasia, Screamfest LA, Atlanta Film Festival, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, FEST and the European Independent Film Festival.
